Die Inseln Karpathos und Kasos wurden am 8.12.2022 nach einem Unwetter von enormen Wassermassen heimgesucht, in einem Ausmaß, das ältere Einwohner ihr ganzes Leben noch nicht gesehen hatten. Auch das neue Krankenhaus stand unter Wasser.
